Tracy Erickson of GameShark had a moment to peek at the upcoming, and likely last, expansion dubbed Eye of the North for the popular pay-once-play-forever Guild Wars. It is an addition aimed towards those that have reached top level and are now looking for more challenges until Guild Wars 2 arrives.

Nearly three and a half million people have played Guild Wars and ArenaNet isn’t about to forget them. Hard at work on a full sequel to the immensely popular no-monthly-fee massively multiplayer online role-playing game, the developer hopes to bridge the gap between the original and its successor with Guild Wars: Eye of the North, an expansion geared toward level 20 charactrers with new environments, enemies, abilities, and a cross-title rewards system.
